§ 35.16. BINGO LEGALIZED; TAX IMPOSED.

(A)

As authorized in Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat., Art. 179d, and as a result of an election by the citizens of the city on April 3, 1982, in which by a majority vote the citizens did express their approval to legalize bingo in the city, bingo is legalized within the city and may be conducted in accordance with Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat., Art. 179d.

(B)

As authorized by, and in accordance with Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat., Art. 179d, the city does hereby impose a 2% gross receipts tax upon each and every licensee to conduct bingo in the city.
